$20,000 Donated to Whatcom Center for Early Learning
Bellingham, Washington – For the past two years, Salish Wealth Management put on the Salish to Salish 10K race, a beloved community event, supporting a different Whatcom County non-profit beneficiary each year. This year, however, due to Covid-19 and the uncertainties of planning, the race was canceled.
Wanting to honor their commitment to this year’s beneficiary, the Whatcom Center for Early Learning, Salish Wealth Management put on a matching donation campaign. From July 21st through September 4th they organized photo competitions and coordinated social media posts to build awareness and raise funds to support the youngest members of our community.
With community involvement, the generous support of our sponsors Barkley Village and Moloney Securities, and matching contributions from Salish Wealth Management, we raised a total of $20,000.00 in overall contributions!

Joined by generous local sponsors, Barkley Village, and Moloney Securities, our team is aiming to raise $30,000 to help Whatcom Center for Early Learning and its work with our communities’ children!
Join us over the next six weeks as we replace our annual 10K run with wacky competitions, photo challenges, fundraising, and lots of running! Covid-19 may have canceled our run but we’re going to make sure our local non-profits still receive the support they need to serve our community.
Whatcom Center for Early Learning supports children with developmental disabilities and delays and their families. Dedicated staff help parents learn how to meet the unique needs of each child, while helping children with socialization and group play. WCEL has been expanding its area of service throughout Whatcom County, and continues to serve our community during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our sponsors have already chipped in with generous donations to get us started, and now we’re asking the community to help us reach our goal of $30,000. Salish Wealth Management will match up to an additional $20,000 of donations, so take the chance to double your gift by donating to the “Salish to Salish 10K” fund on charity.gofundme.com/salish-to-salish-10k.
We truly appreciate all our Runners, Volunteers, Vendors and Sponsors involved in the Salish to Salish 10K! However, due to Covid-19 and the uncertainties of planning, we have decided to cancel the 2020 race.
